The research on State Governance aims to introduce a framework of fiscal system to reexamine the behavior of China's central and local governments. Since 1980s, it has been a core issue for some developing countries to strength economic progress by governance. Most existing research on state governance are related with institutional economics, development economics and public choice theory. But the research team hopes to widen the scope of state governance from China’s public finance theory and practices.

State Governance and State Behavior is one of the most significant fields in Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE). In the way of theoretical innovation and practical guidance, Center for China Fiscal Development makes important contributions. The team has made great achievements in the area of China’s sharing system reform, intergovernmental responsibilities, common needs of the society and so on.
